- Salaam Hearts is designed and operated according to Islamic guidelines.
- We use a scientifically sound matching algorithm based upon an in-depth compatibility questionnaire which is used to provide only the highest quality matches.
- The compatibility questionnaire looks at eight categories: emotional, intellectual, spiritual/religious, reflection and self-examining, openness to and understanding of personal growth and change, financial orientation, cultural orientation, and vision of marriage.
- We approach spouse selection and the matching process from a holistic perspective in order to avoid common pitfalls that occur before and during marriage.
- The matches we present to members are pre-qualified, rather than just a list based on superficial facts. Traditionally, when a young Muslim was ready to marry, their parents pre-qualified potential spouses based upon what they knew about the personality of their son/daughter. Perhaps 5-10 individuals were considered; some were discounted and a few selected to introduce to their son/daughter. Salaam Hearts is much closer to that traditional way of matching than sites which provide an unmanageable quantity of matches with no consideration of compatibility.
- We provide an option for those members whose parent or relative (wali) will be reviewing potential matches and communicating directly with potential matches; or providing supervision for these activities.
